WASHINGTON – Whether fans are calling them the Fab Five or the Fierce Five, Team USA’s gymnasts were on the Colbert Report on Comedy Central this week, making a splash.
The team posed as Stephen Colbert’s new interns. As the host called for a pen, gold medalist Gabby Douglas flipped onto the set and passed the pen to team member Mckayla Maroney. Maroney passes it on until each team member gets a turn to dance, twist and spin with the pen. Finally, it’s delivered to Colbert. But he is less than impressed.
