Gas down a dime, but up from last year

WASHINGTON – Drivers are getting some relief at the pump in the D.C. region – at least from last week.

According to ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½’s Pain in the Gas Survey, regular gasoline is down 10 cents from last week to $3.68 a gallon.

Mid-grade dropped 9 cents to $3.91 while premium fell 7 cents to $4.10.

Diesel stayed the same from last week. On average, diesel is selling for $4.15.

A similar trend is occurring nationwide. According to AAA, the national price for a gallon of regular gas fell 12 cents to $3.65.

Last year, ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½ found the average price of a regular gallon of gas was 20 cents lower at $3.48 a gallon. Mid-grade was $3.64. Premium was $3.78 and diesel, $3.95.
