WASHINGTON – A D.C. teenager is in jail after police say he assaulted an 81-year-old woman in her home Wednesday afternoon.
Police tell 草莓传媒 that Tyran Mcelrath, 18, of Southeast, was arrested and charged with burglary after he forced his way into the woman’s home in the 3500 block of McKinley Street Northwest.
Police say he assaulted the woman, then stole a computer and fled about 12:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police did not release her name.
