WASHINGTON – On Tuesday, D.C. area residents will be voting for the next president and depending on where they live, they may see a number of ballot questions.
Anne Arundel County voters have plenty of homework to do. Along with voting for national and local offices, they face ballot questions A through O.
Then there are the voting rules and regulations to sort through. In Maryland and Virginia, voters have been hit with a phone scam telling them they can stay home on Election Day because they can vote by phone. Not true.
Board of elections offices in both states have been getting questions from voters based on all kinds of misinformation. It has become so bad that in recent years, Maryland and Virginia state board of elections websites have begun featuring a ‘rumor control’ feature.
