WASHINGTON – With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, some may be debating whether to brave the throngs of partygoers or stay home.

Thankfully, there are some great concerts to help celebrate all weekend.

In Alexandria, Va., is scheduled to host the 15th annual “Tribute to Hank Williams” concert Friday, Dec. 28.

The event has become a favorite of fans looking to experience the origins of what many call the “perfect country song.”

For a different kind of nostalgia, check out Saturday, Dec. 29 at the in the District.

The group’s 1960s hits include “Heat Wave,” “Dancing In the Street” and “Nowhere to Run.”

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 the day of the show.

For those looking to party this Sunday, Dec. 30, check out the “Night Before New Year’s Eve Party” for a night of DJ sets.

The $10 admission goes to benefit the .

For New Year’s Eve concerts, the is hard to beat.

This Monday, Dec. 31 is the end of alt-country darlings ‘ 3-night run at the 9:30 Club.

The $55 ticket includes a complimentary champagne toast at midnight and the winner of the nightclub’s will be announced from the stage.

The winner of the raffle will be able to attend every 9:30 Club concert of 2013.
