Prince George’s County wins with Redskins

WASHINGTON – A Redskins win Sunday night won’t just be a boost for fans, it will also help the local economy.

If the Redskins best the Dallas Cowboys, and guarantee them home field advantage for a wildcard playoff game in January — sending additional tax revenues to the county’s coffers.

Tom Himler, Prince George’s deputy chief administrative officer for Budget, Finance and Administration, tells Channel 7 that each home game brings in about $500,000. The extra funds would be used for school and road improvements.
