WASHINGTON – As the nation mourns the massacre in Newtown, Conn., Americans are banding together and committing acts of kindness in memory of the 26 lives lost last week.
Journalist Ann Curry is prompting people to Tweet their experiences using and .
She got the idea after Giants’ wide receiver Victor Cruz of a 6-year-old victim on his cleats and gloves during Sunday’s game, .
Inspired, Curry encouraged others to join in.
