WASHINGTON – If you’re an online shopper who’s always looking for the best deals, here’s a new way to get coupon codes.
Upon checkout, many online shoppers are prompted to enter a coupon code to redeem an extra discount. Now, a new website makes it easier to find these codes.
is a free software plug-in that, once downloaded, is added to the shopper’s web browser.
When online shoppers are ready to complete an order and the box pops-up asking for a coupon or promo code, the software provides the shopper with one or more codes for a discount on the purchase.
Online shoppers select one of the suggested codes, which is then automatically entered into the prompt box. If a code has expired and doesn’t work, shoppers can try another code.
The makers say they tested 5,000 sites and found the plug-in worked with nine out of 10 of them.
Its creators say the plug-in works on personal computers and Macs. It works with browsers, such as Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari.
