D.C. primary election date could be pushed back to June

Some District lawmakers are proposing legislation that would move back D.C.’s 2014 primary election by more than two months, .

D.C. Council Chairman Phil Mendelson said Monday that he expects to introduce legislation as soon as Tuesday moving the primary from the first Tuesday of April — that’s April 1 next year — to mid-June.
