WASHINGTON – Instead of booking a caterer to set up a raw bar for your next party, personal oyster shuckers could be a welcomed alternative for your guests.
reports that oyster shuckers of the company can walk around among your guests and offer them an oyster, shuck it, add any requested condiments on it and hand them the delectable hors d’oeuvre.
UrbanDaddy.com D.C. Editor Jeff Dufour says the idea started in Amsterdam. Shuckers wear a special belt or apparatus that helps them carry the oysters, condiments and a bucket for the used shells.
But if you’re throwing a theme party, the shuckers will even wear costumes.
