Heat restrictions to delay MARC, VRE trains

WASHINGTON – Heat restrictions are in place for commuter trains heading into Maryland and Virginia Wednesday afternoon.

VRE heat restrictions will be in place from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Along the Fredericksburg line. The restrictions could cause delays of up to 11 minutes for commuters traveling the entire route to the Fredericksburg station.

MARC trains are also under heat orders for the Camden and Brunswick lines. Commuters should expect delays of five to 15 minutes.
