Birchmere gets bluesy, Black Cat goes electric

WASHINGTON – Friday at the Birchmere, blues and soul singer is celebrating the release of his 13th studio album, “Strong.”

Price gained some notoriety with an early 1970s collaboration with local guitar legend Roy Buchanan. Hailing from Pittsburgh, Price has maintained a strong local connection over the years by performing with fellow blues-men the Nighthawks.

Local songwriter is set to mark his first new album in 14 years with a Saturday night release show at .
