WASHINGTON – Thinking about buying some new furniture? Now you can try before you buy — at least virtually.
Furniture maker IKEA is out with a that lets users select a piece of furniture they’re curious about, aim the phone’s camera at a part of the room and voila! The item will appear in the image in about the same dimensions as real life.
The IKEA app does other stuff, too. Its time lapse feature allows you to watch a room being decorated piece-by-piece and patterns or colors can be changes with just a click.
