Comedian, country singer Tim Wilson dies at 52

WASHINGTON — Comedian and country music singer Tim Wilson died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack, his manager says, according to . He was 52.

Wilson, who incorporated country music songs into his act, died in Columbus, Ga., after he finished a show in Michigan, CNN reports.

“I talked to him yesterday afternoon and said he felt bad, was short of breath, and I said, ‘get to the hospital now,'” said Wilson’s manager Chris Dipetta to

Wilson was known for his humorous country songs such as “Garth Brooks Ruined My Life” and “First Baptist Bar & Grill” and “The NASCAR Song.”

Wilson is survived by his wife, Deidre, his 24-year-old daughter Sophia and 15- year-old son, Ari. He also has another son from a previous marriage, according to TODAY.
