$1 million lottery ticket purchased in Sterling

WASHINGTON – Friday the thirteenth proved to be a lucky day for one lottery player, who bought a $1 million Mega Millions ticket in Loudoun County.

The ticket was purchased at the 7-Eleven on Woodshire Drive in Sterling, according to the Virginia Lottery.

The ticket matched all the numbers – 7-38-46-49-56 – except the Mega Ball number, missing out on the jackpot.

The winner has 180 days from Friday to claim their prize.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
