Expect afternoon delays on MARC’s Brunswick Line

WASHINGTON — Afternoon trains on MARC’s Brunswick Line will run at reduced speeds because of the heat.

Riders should of 5 minutes to 15 minutes.

The Maryland Transit Administration says trains with fewer stops are more likely to see longer delays.

  • The temperature exceeds 85 degrees.
  • A 25-degree temperature swing happens in a 24-hour period.

When heat orders are in effect, CSX has inspectors checking the tracks.
