WASHINGTON– Sitting on a subway train in New York City, one can expect anything.
Funny, the seasoned New Yorkers in this video seem mostly unaffected — not even surprised — when cast members from the Tony-winning Broadway hit break out in a flash mob rendition of “The Circle of Life” in the middle of the ride.
Sure, we know it’s the patented New York style not to show emotion when anything out of the ordinary happens on the street, or in the subways, in the Big Apple. But it must have been difficult not to crack even a smile when these virtuosi began belting out this Disney-inspired anthem:
