WASHINGTON — At 35 years old, Brazilian artist Rafael Mantesso was left with a bare, furniture-less white house and a bull terrier named Jimmy Choo after his divorce.
During therapy, Mantesso discovered he had Asperger’s, , which explained his introverted tendencies.
“As a child, I was very shy, anti-social,” Mantesso said to TODAY.
But his canine companion stuck by his side.
Mantesso started taking pictures of Jimmy Choo all around the house interacting with different things that he draws.
“Drawing relaxes me,” he says. “I like that, to speak without saying a word or post photos without captions.”
