The Virginia property was once owned by the family of Lloyd Lee Welch Jr., who police named as a earlier this year, according to NBC4.

Investigators traveled to Bedford last week to speak with local police and authorities.

Welch is a convicted sex offender and investigators believe he was at the Wheaton Plaza the day 12-year-old Sheila and 10-year-old Katherine Lyon disappeared.

Welch traveled extensively and investigators believe that cases in other states could provide clues about what happened to Sheila and Katherine.
