WASHINGTON — A child was shot near Anacostia Park Friday night, DC Metropolitan Police confirm. The boy, about eight years old, is expected to be okay.
The shooting happened at 9 p.m. in the 3700 block of Hayes Street in Northeast. The boy was transported to an area hospital.
Two other victims were also shot and sent to area hospitals, police said. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
