Loudoun County inmate released early turns self in

WASHINGTON — An inmate who was prematurely released from a detention center in Loudoun County Monday has turned himself in.

The Loudoun County Adult Detention Center released Christian Hernandez-Galdamez
Monday night — less than two days short of the completion of his sentence. The Sheriff’s office said Tuesday that he contacted authorities around 5 p.m. to turn himself in.

Hernandez-Galdamez was serving a 92-day sentence for assault on a family member
and violation of a protective order. When he was released, he had 38 hours left on his sentence.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how the miscalculation
occurred.
