WASHINGTON — Darren Wilson, the white Ferguson, Missouri, police officer
whose fatal shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown set off months of
tension, is in the final stages of negotiations to resign, reports.
CNN law enforcement reporter Shimon Prokupecz says that the news comes from
people close to the talks, but that those close to Wilson aren’t commenting.
A grand jury is nearing a decision on whether to indict Wilson, a decision
that could set off a new round of tension.
