WASHINGTON — If you didn’t get a ticket for the , you can still watch it from the comfort of your home.
The tree lighting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4. President Barack
Obama will be in attendance, along with Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson. Patti
LaBelle
and Steve Miller are among the
lined up for the ceremony.
Streets around the event area will be blocked beginning 1 p.m. Thursday,
and traffic delays are expected.
The 40-foot Colorado Blue Spruce from York, Pennsylvania will be illuminated
at
5 p.m. The ceremony will be streamed live on the ,
and will be broadcast on PBS throughout the month.
