On a per-share basis, the Carmel, Indiana-based company said it had profit of $1.33. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.26 per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $1.29 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $1.3 billion.
