The San Diego-based company said it had profit of 64 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, came to 70 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.
The medical device company posted revenue of $1.31 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.3 billion.
DexCom expects full-year revenue in the range of $5.18 billion to $5.25 billion.
