WASHINGTON 鈥 It had to happen: Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning responded on Wednesday night to concerns about the 鈥 um, ambivalent 鈥 reaction that brother Eli had to Sunday鈥檚 game-sealing touchdown.
In case you need a reminder, and because it never, ever gets old, here鈥檚 how Eli, the quarterback for the New York Giants, reacted to the touchdown that virtually assured Peyton 鈥 his own brother, it cannot be stressed enough 鈥 of joining him with two Super Bowl rings:
On Wednesday night, Peyton Manning, on 鈥淭he Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,鈥 reacted to the reaction by pretty much agreeing with how Eli Manning explained himself earlier this week: 鈥淚 think Eli was analyzing the game and kind of into the game, as I would be if he was playing it.鈥 Eli added that he could see the humor in people鈥檚 interpretation of his expression.
Peyton Manning, meanwhile, joked that 鈥淚鈥檝e seen that face before,鈥 and had a blast with a cardboard cutout of Eli鈥檚 鈥渄eath stare,鈥 fictionally re-enacting telling his brother about some of the highlights of his life.
