Pet of the Week: Candy

WASHINGTON — Have a taste for something sweet? Then stop by the Washington Animal
Rescue League and
meet Candy.

This darling 5-year-old Chihuahua mix is cute as a button. But she’s feeling
a bit blue at the moment because both her den-mates have been adopted and she misses
their company.

She’s a friendly, affectionate little dog who wants nothing more than to
climb in your lap and snuggle, so she’d make a great “couch potato” companion. Candy
doesn’t need a lot of exercise, although some regular walks to help her shed a pound or
two would be appreciated.

Because of her size, she’d rather live in a home without very
young children. If you think Candy would be a good match for your “pack,” stop by the
Washington Animal Rescue League and meet her soon.

About WARL: Founded in 1914, the Washington Animal Rescue League is the
oldest
animal shelter in Washington D.C. Its mission includes rescuing,
rehabilitating
