WASHINGTON — Carly Fiorina’s supporters the presidential hopeful on prime time TV Thursday night, but at least they won something else. They have the best grammar, spelling and punctuation among the GOP candidates’ backers, according to a new survey.
Fiorina’s fans make an average of 6.3 mistakes per hundred words in their Facebook comments,聽听—聽an automated-proofreading company that evaluated supporters of the 2016 Republican presidential candidates.
Ben Carson’s supporters ranked second; they make 6.6 mistakes per hundred words in their comments.
Grammarly analyzed a minimum of 250 original comments on the official Facebook pages of each candidate, from April through early June.
While Donald Trump ranks first in GOP polls, his backers rank dead last in social media grammar. They make 12.6 grammar mistakes per hundred words in their Facebook comments.
Rick Perry’s supporters weren’t far behind, making some 12.5 mistakes per hundred words.
