WASHINGTON — A Suitland home caught fire Sunday morning after a cat knocked over a lit candle.
The cat accidentally knocked over a candle on a mattress, setting聽fire to a home on the聽2100 block of DuPont Ave. in Suitland.
Prince George’s County Fire said聽there were no injuries reported, but聽the family will have to find another place to live in for a while.
The聽flames聽caused $50,000 in damage.
