WASHINGTON 鈥� A man is dead after a car hit him in Riverdale Park Monday evening.
Prince George鈥檚 County police were called to the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Madison Street at about 6:15 p.m. Monday for a collision involving a pedestrian. When police arrived, officers found 54-year-old Juan Samora-Sanchez in the roadway with critical injuries.
Emergency crews transported Samora-Sanchez to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Samora-Sanchez was trying to cross Kenilworth Avenue when a car hit him. The driver remained at the scene.
Police say Samora-Sanchez was not in a crosswalk at the time.
