Arrest made in Prince George’s stabbing death investigation

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County, Maryland woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of her boyfriend, police said.

Melba Williams, 41, was taken into custody by police following the stabbing of Roger Allen, 45.

The incident occurred on Friday, when officers responded to a call from the 1900 block of Rochell Avenue in District Heights. Upon arrival, the officers found Allen, who was suffering from a stab wound.

Allen was taken to an area hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to police, the couple had gotten into an argument, which lead to Allen being fatally stabbed.

Williams was arrested on the scene by responding officers and admitted her involvement in the homicide, police said.

She is charged with first and second degree murder, along with assault charges, and is being held on no-bond status.
