Police in Prince George’s County, Maryland, say a teenage girl was killed in a fatal car accident at the intersection of Kettering Drive and Kettering Place Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to the crash just before 6 p.m. and found five people inside the car.
A female passenger, 17-year-old Janiya Thompson of Upper Marlboro, was taken to the hospital, where she died. The driver and the remaining three passengers were also hospitalized with injuries.聽
Police say its preliminary investigation showed that the car was driving westbound on Kettering Drive when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
