Prince George’s Co. police warn about blue pills that tested positive for fentanyl

Police in Prince George’s County, Maryland, are warning residents about pills laced with fentanyl.

The tablets are blue with a an “M” on them.

Prince George’s County police have been recovering and testing the pills, several of which, they said, contained fentanyl.

“Many users believe these pills are prescription painkillers. These pills are linked to multiple suspected overdoses, to include two fatal overdoses,” police said on their .

Tests are still being conducted on the fatal cases, but police suspect the victims died of fentanyl poisoning.

Police are asking people to avoid taking any medication not prescribed to them by a medical professional.
