3 in hospital, 1 arrested after truck crashes into school bus in Manassas

WASHINGTON — A crash involving a pickup truck and a school bus closed a section of Dumfries Road in Manassas, Virginia, for a couple of hours on Monday morning.

No children were aboard the school bus, which was stopped at a traffic light when it was hit by the pickup truck, Prince William County police said.

It happened just before 8 a.m. near the intersection of Dumfries Road and Purcell Drive. The road reopened around 10:30 a.m.

Three people were taken to this hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the truck was arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
