WASHINGTON — It’s a list that references Ed Sheeran more than once: YouTube’s top trending videos of 2017. According to , the top 10 trending videos this year have been watched more than 630 million times.

10. No, this isn’t your everyday news clip. Political science professor Robert Kelly was in the middle of a very serious BBC interview, when his kids decided to make a very un-serious appearance. The hilarious interruption rocketed the professor and his family into instant viral status, and the clip has now been watched more than 25 million times on YouTube.
9. This animated short film by Beth David and Esteban Bravo tells the story of an adolescent gay boy who struggles to keep his own heart from running amok in the quest for love. The creators launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to make this short, which drew about 8 million views in two days after it was first posted on YouTube. It’s now been viewed more than 32 million times.
8. Bill Wurtz makes animated videos on a lot of topics: fish opinions, soap tips…and in this popular video, he attempts to explain the history of the world in under 20 minutes. People have watched this almost 36 million times in 2017.
7. “What do you think they were saying to each other?” Well, the folks at the  YouTube channel took their talents to Inauguration Day to come up with a fictitious answer. Always good for a laugh, this Bad Lip Reading was viewed more than 35 million times.
6. Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl LI halftime performance was so good that seeing it live on TV just wasn’t enough — viewers took to YouTube to watch the whole halftime show almost 38 million times. The Mother Monster, herself, appeared to take a dramatic dive at the top of the performance and seamlessly cycled through a selection of high-energy hits.
5. “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden continued its streak in 2017, but Ed Sheeran’s ride-along was by far the most watched. Viewers have watched Sheeran and Corden drive around Los Angeles more than 40 million times since June. And yes, Sheeran can fit an unreal number of Maltesers in his mouth… You may remember, another episode of Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” made YouTube’s top trending list last year: Adele’s appearance got the No. 1 spot.
4. A 12-year-old singing ventriloquist racked up more than 42 million views on YouTube this year, for this video alone. Darci Lynne Farmer went on to win season 12 of “America’s Got Talent.”
3. Coming in at No. 3 on YouTube’s top trending list for the year is a ping pong trick shot montage by Dude Perfect. People have watched these guys stage elaborate tricks more than 96 million times since April.
2.Ìý You heard this Ed Sheeran song a million times in 2017, but were you one of the millions who watched this choreographed routine? The video was posted to YouTube in January of this year, and has been viewed more than 123 million times.
1. “Until we will become dust” has been viewed more than 192 million times since it was posted in June. The performer featured in YouTube’s top trending video of the year was in a singing competition, the Thai version of “The Mask Singer.” Basically, the show involves masked performers whose identities are revealed only when they are bumped off the show. This particular singer donned an oyster mask to conceal his identity while crooning to the delight of the judges and audience.
