St. Louis City ends Bond’s scoreless streak, beats Dynamo 2-1 to extend unbeaten run to 11

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Simon Becher had a first-half goal to end a long scoreless streak by Houston keeper Jonathan Bond, and rookie Dante Polvara added his first MLS goal in the second half as St. Louis City beat the Dynamo 2-1 on Saturday night to extend their club-record unbeaten streak to 11.

St. Louis City hasn’t lost since a 2-0 setback to Austin FC in a May 3 road match. The club has the longest unbeaten streak in the league this season, passing a 10-match run by Supporters’ Shield-leading Nashville SC earlier.

Houston fell for the first time since losing 3-0 to Real Salt Lake in a May 13 road match.

The Dynamo tied a league record with five straight shutout victories
