WASHINGTON 鈥� A dramatic, large-scale search effort in Virginia ended Friday night with the arrest of a man who is accused of gunning down and killing a victim at an Exxon gas station in Stafford, Virginia.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Corey Terry of Richmond fired rounds into the Austen Tyler Agnor’s car before leaving the scene on foot, running onto an Interstate 95 ramp and into a wooded area.
What followed was an intense search that included resources from across Virginia. State troopers, sheriff’s deputies, search dogs and a helicopter were involved in tracking Terry down. They eventually located Terry and took him into custody.
Terry was being held Saturday morning on charges of first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Agnor, 20, of Chester, Virginia, was pronounced dead at Stafford Hospital Center.
The sheriff鈥檚 office said the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute.聽The dispute occurred during a court-ordered custody exchange.
