WASHINGTON — Major disruptions on the Orange and Silver lines will end one day earlier than planned, Metro tells ݮý.
Metro Spokeswoman Sherri Ly said Wednesday that crews were “able to complete the work that they needed to complete,” so the decision was made to shift the end of the current 24/7 work zone to Tuesday, Dec. 20, instead of Wednesday, Dec. 21.
The work zone had been scheduled , but now regular service is expected to resume that day.
Metro has delayed any further 24/7 work zones until at least February as the agency addresses a series of other issues in tunnels.
