WASHINGTON 鈥� Delays remain on Metro’s Red Line after an arcing insulator fire at the Wheaton station on Wednesday morning.
Red Line: No longer single tracking. Residual delays continue in both directions due to an earlier track problem at Wheaton.

Trains were single tracking between Wheaton and Silver Spring for nearly two hours as a result of the fire.
Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire Department, said on Twitter firefighters put out a fire on a burning insulator near the platform of the Wheaton station.

Trains stopped single tracking around 9:30 a.m., but WMATA said residual delays continue in both directions.
