WASHINGTON — Do these jeans make me look flatulent?
Denim lovers need not worry about being a bit gassy, if the claims of a British company can be believed.
Shreddies, which in 2013 introduced underwear with a carbon back panel to absorb and neutralize odors, has expanded its line to include jeans and pajamas.
Selling for approximately $150, Shreddies offers “increased protection and more freedom to enter social situations,” according to the company’s website.
The company’s suggest “when worn with Shreddies flatulence filtering underwear it offers a double layer of protection, giving increased confidence that all odors are filtered.”
The products utilize a “Zorflex” cloth, sandwiched between layers of regular fabric to absorb and trap odors.
It’s not clear whether the denim also muffles the sounds of the  offensive intrusion.
