Watch: Jimmy Fallon chides D.C.’s reaction to snow

WASHINGTON — Yeah , but it’s nothing like what’s happening in the Boston area. After another blizzard last week, and there’s no telling when it’ll let up.

A few inches of “snow squall”? Please. They’re about to set a record up there.

“Schools and federal offices in Washington, D.C. were shut down today after the city received four inches of snow in their first major snow storm of the season,” Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon said in his Feb. 17 opening monologue. “Or as Boston residents put it, ‘are you f***ing kidding me?”

“Four inches of snow?” Fallon . “I left for work this morning out of a second-story window, cowboy up!’â€

Local residents might feel some kinda way about the joke. But it’s a clever riff on a long-standing fact: D.C., the nation’s capital, should be used to cold and snow. Yet it shuts down at the mere thought of it.

Stay warm, Boston. Winter is almost over.
