WASHINGTON 鈥� The Washington Redskins have fired general manager Scot McCloughan, effective immediately. In addition, several of the team’s key players have signed with other teams.
Redskins President Bruce Allen issued a release Thursday evening that McCloughan, who has been with the team for two years, would no longer be with the Redskins.
“We wish him success in his future endeavors. The team will have no further comment on his departure. The organization remains confident in our personnel department as we execute our free agency plans as well as prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft,” Allen said in the statement.

DeSean Jackson and Chris Baker signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wide receiver Pierre Garcon will be reunited with former Redskins offensive coordinator and current San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan, having signed with the 49ers.
Jackson signed a three-year contract worth $33.5 million, with $20 million guaranteed. Baker signed a three-year contract with $5.25 million per year. Garcon signed for three years for $29 million.
