WASHINGTON 鈥� The Washington Nationals surprised a third grade class from Amidon-Bowen Elementary School in Southwest with shirts, hats and playoff tickets Tuesday.
Nationals mascot Screech was on hand to deliver tickets to Game 1 of the team鈥檚 National League Division Series matchup against the Chicago Cubs, with first pitch slated for 7:30 p.m. Friday. In a release, the Nats said they consider Amidon-Bowen, located just blocks from the ballpark, their neighborhood school. See the video below.
