WASHINGTON — Friday’s storm left a Pittsburgh men’s college basketball team stranded overnight on their bus on the Pennsylvania Turnpike after a game in Fairfax, Va. on Friday.
They were still there as of 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Duquesne Dukes left Fairfax around 4:30 p.m. Friday after their 86-75 win over George Mason University, ESPN reports.
Jim Ferry, head coach of the team, told ESPN’s SportsCenter Saturday their bus stopped moving around 9:15 p.m.
Ferry said everyone is okay and safe, although running out of leftover pizza and water is becoming a concern.
The bus is approximately 80 miles away from Pittsburgh, Ferry said.
Meanwhile, the team is hilariously chronicling their journey on :
