Trains, buses and bikes: What’s the latest?

WASHINGTON — In the aftermath of the weekend blizzard, D.C. area traffic and transit services are starting to return to normal.

Metrobus

Buses will operate regular service on Friday.

Metrorail

Metrorail service will return to a regular schedule Friday for the first time since snow began falling a week earlier.

Trains will be shorter than usual since many cars are still out of service due to the storm. to read more.

MetroAccess, which provides service for riders with disabilities,Ìýwill operate on its normal schedule. In some cases, “door-to-door” service may be unavailable where driveways or sidewalks have not been cleared of snow. In such cases, the driver will provide “curb-to-curb” service instead.

Ìýwill operate on a full schedule with one fewer railcar on Friday on trainsÌý426, 438 and 544. Passengers should expect overcrowding.

D.C. Circulator

D.C. Circulator will continue normalÌýservice Friday, and will operate five of its six routes.ÌýThe National Mall route will remain closed.

Buses will run on their regular FridayÌýschedule with 10-minute headways, on the following routes:

• Georgetown – Union Station
• Woodley Park – Adams Morgan – McPherson Square
• Potomac Avenue – Skyland
• Rosslyn – Dupont Circle
• Union Station – Navy Yard

Capital Bikeshare

will continueÌýlimited service at all stations, as they are cleared.

Taxi service

The D.C. Taxicab Commission’s Snow Emergency Fare expired Wednesday evening.

The cab surcharge inÌýAlexandria, Virginia,ÌýwasÌýlifted earlier in the week.

Other transit

service will operate regular service on Friday. However, delays are possible due to road conditions.

AllÌý,Ìýas well as the King Street Trolley, will operate on a regular weekday schedule Friday.

The Montgomery CountyÌýÌýbus will operate regular weekday service on Friday. Routes and schedules . Delays are still possible.

Ìýservice in Frederick, Maryland, will operate on a normal schedule on Friday.

AllÌýÌýand Metro-connection bus services will run on regular schedules on Friday, with some exceptions. See the for details.
