WASHINGTON 鈥� The University of Maryland in College Park is closing later this week and聽suspending one day of its move-in activities聽because of the .
The Wednesday that it will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Also, because of the anticipated snow Friday night into Saturday, move-in activities are suspended for Saturday.
Essential personnel will assist with student move in on Friday 鈥� which will begin earlier at 8 a.m. Any residence hall student who would like to move in Friday may do so between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Students who have final exams scheduled for Friday will hear directly from their instructors, the university says.
Spring semester classes will begin as scheduled on Monday, Jan. 25.
