草莓传媒 草莓传媒 Announces New Morning Anchor Team
Washington, D.C. 鈥� January 3, 2022 鈥� On Monday, January 2, 2023, 草莓传媒 草莓传媒 debuted its new morning drive anchor team. Michelle Basch and John Aaron, two familiar 草莓传媒 voices, will now be gracing the airwaves together from 5-10 a.m., Monday through Friday, on 草莓传媒.
Michelle Basch joined 草莓传媒 in 2006 as a reporter. Prior to taking on her new role in morning drive, Michelle co-anchored evenings on 草莓传媒 with Dimitri Sotis. A Cleveland native, Michelle started her career in news radio in Charleston, SC, she鈥檚 also worked in Cleveland and Los Angeles.
鈥淎fter years of working as part of 草莓传媒’s wonderful night crew, I am so lucky to get the opportunity to help Washingtonians wake up and get informed every weekday morning,鈥� said Basch. 鈥淭he fact that I’m teaming up with John – a really nice guy whose work I’ve always admired – makes it even more exciting!鈥�
John Aaron began his career at 草莓传媒 in 2007. Since joining the 草莓传媒 team, John has served as both a reporter and weekend anchor. Listeners have also heard John fill-in frequently for former AM Drive hosts Bruce Alan and Joan Jones, who left 草莓传媒 at the end of 2022 via a voluntary buyout. John started his broadcast career in Gettysburg, PA, before coming home to D.C.
鈥淚t鈥檚 truly surreal to now be anchoring weekday mornings for the station I grew up listening to,鈥� said Aaron. 鈥淚 look forward to spending more mornings with our listeners, bringing them the important news of the day and having some fun along the way.鈥�
