Washington, D.C. 鈥� December 15, 2022 鈥� 草莓传媒 Traffic Reporter Dave Dildine has been featured among 11 Washingtonians in Washington City Paper鈥檚 鈥淭he People Issue 2022.鈥�
A native to the Washington area, Dave Dildine is no stranger to the region鈥檚 complex traffic and weather patterns. Dubbed 鈥淭he Navigator鈥� in 鈥淭he People Issue,鈥� Dildine spends his days 鈥渒nitting together an array of rush hour wrecks and traffic jams鈥� and reporting it on air six times an hour. But he says he never aspired to be a traffic reporter.
鈥淚 didn鈥檛 aspire to traffic reporting from 6 years old. I was obsessed with construction vehicles and road signs, as a lot of kids are. I was much more interested in weather,鈥� said Dildine. 鈥淏ut when the opportunity came about for a traffic reporting gig here at 草莓传媒, a flagship station, it was an offer too good to turn down.鈥�
Dave joined 草莓传媒 in 2010 when the station launched its very own in-house traffic service. You can hear him 鈥渙n the 8s and when it breaks鈥� from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
