WASHINGTON 鈥� The Cincinnati Zoo’s rising star Fiona, a baby hippo born earlier this year, is making waves again, this time for gracing the photos of a couple’s big next step.
When Nick Kelble proposed to Hayley Roll at the zoo earlier in October, Fiona was their witness, according to . And the newly engaged Roll posted that moment on Instagram.
“We’re so happy Fiona could be there on our special day,” Roll wrote in her post.
Fiona was born prematurely on Jan. 24, six weeks early. She weighed 29 pounds at birth and, , is the smallest hippo to ever survive. Full-term hippos normally weigh somewhere around 50-110 pounds.
